The cracks of life are there for a reason,
Friends come and go, they change throughout the seasons,
The weathering comes and the true tend to stay,
Catch a falling star to save for a rainy day.
If you could fill a crevice, with a memory or laugh,
Which second would you choose, which would you want to last?
As you walk alone on a trail at dusk and look up at the sky,
Have you ever seen a shooting star, or choose to look at the lines in the pavement and sigh?
As fall approaches and the leaves are turning,
The campfire smolders and the sparks start spewing.
You feel the wind blow through your hair, it whistles to only you and you have not a care.
Colors are rich and the shadows are long,
Storm clouds roll in and sunlight is wrong.
The promise of a better day and all the good things that have come to stay,
A rainbow can renew lost hope,
Yet it doesn't include the color...heliotrope.
Catch a falling star to save for a rainy day,
Keep your friends close, don't let the cracks run away.
When the rain starts to fall, please give it your all,
You never know who is waiting and not wanting you to fall.
