Bendy Straws...how many different ways are there to open their wrappers? Have you ever crumpled the wrapper up, then dripped a drop of water on it to watch it unfold like a wriggling worm? I sure have, plus it's great entertainment for little kids at nice restaurants.
I think that the little things in life are very important. They help you see things that make you happy such as the way a leaf looks as the sun shines through it, the ants walking in their lines across the sidewalk, or the way a bendy straw leans as it sits in your sweet tea. I think that sometimes, it's the little details that people miss out on that causes mistakes. Some people end up taking others for granted because they skipped out on a detail or two.
Life is like a bunch of straws...each person ends up drawing a different color and each bends a different way. Whether it's a tiny coffee stirrer straw or a regular soda fountain one, it all depends on how you use it in order for it to be effective. We just have to figure out which way is the best. Sometimes the way we think isn't always the right way, but we keep trying and working at it in order to make it work.
