When one door closes, so another opens. Although, I believe that windows can open too. Opportunities are something that we are faced with everyday and can sometimes end up changing our lives. People often spend so much time looking for the opportune moment, when it's most likely right in front of them. Whether or not they choose to seize the moment is entirely up to them.
When I go out and take photos, I look for specific things that people usually aren't looking for. The way a shadow is cast, the way the leaf is turned next to the rose petals, or the way people stand while waiting to cross the road. I see lots of different things as opportunities. When someone asks me to help them with a website, to photograph a wedding, or be there to babysit, I'm usually always going to jump at the opportunity. The funny thing about opportunities is that you never know if you'll get a chance to do it over again.

This past summer I've learned a lot about opportunities...especially if you're out of the country. You never know how likely it would be to go back to that certain place to do something cool such as: jump off a waterfall, ride a luge, go surfing, or scuba diving? It's always nice to say "yes, I did that" to something crazy and fun, rather than say "no, I chickened out." I like to live life with no regrets and take every moment as it comes.
Opportunities come and go. As soon as one opportunity flees, another one is right there waiting. You just have to be able to look in the right places for it and then make the most of it.
