Laughter. The gift that keeps on giving. It's amazing to think that smiles can go miles. Both laughs and smiles are contagious it seems, and once we start...it's rather hard to stop.
You can close your eyes and think of something that has happened or that you've seen in your life, something that someone said and it will just bring a smile to your face. You can see it vividly and it takes you back to that moment in time only for a second. Then you burst out in laughter, and people give you weird looks like you're crazy and have lost your mind. Yet, you don't seem to care...because you know exactly why you're laughing and you feel bad that they can't laugh too. So what do you do?
You share the story with them. Then eventually, the smiles and laughter get shared as well. A bright, colorful array of bouncing voices and squinted eyes, tears streaming and sides hurting while you laugh until you can barely breathe anymore. It's times like this that you wish could last forever but that you can look back on and always laugh and smile just as much as you once did.
