15 December 2011
Life is like a canvas, it's yours to paint and to make your own. The present is a gift, so take the most beautiful colors and make something worth looking at.
Splatter painting things seems to portray my life quite well. It's able to show the discontinued thoughts and processes that I have every day. The past is like a watercolor...blurred into beautiful shades of warm colors for the happy times and cool colors for the lower times. With each painting, you learn something new. You learn that you can't always keep your hands clean, that you can never color inside of the lines, and that it will never turn out perfectly but you just have to live with what it's made of.
Each wrong stroke may be covered up by another, but it is never fully erased. It's like the people in your lives that come and go. Not all will be stellar models for your personality. There will be people who will leave beautiful strokes of wonderful color on your photo and there will be people who come along and cast shadows and end up smearing all your beautiful work. Life's lesson isn't to just deal with these things...it's to learn to adapt, to paint over and around such things in order to make your painting into something better than it ever would've been before.
