25 January 2012
We all have days every now and again where our minds wander freely. It becomes so random. It jumps from idea to thought and from problem to opportunity so fast that we often aren't able to think straight. It's days like these where we space off in class (or in your workplace) and try to find our happy place, to find somewhere we'd rather be.
When my mind is running at high speed, it's really hard to focus on anything. People expect you to be kept together and focused at school and the workplace; however, breaks are needed every now and again...that's why we have vacations! They were made for us to be able to get away from the people and places that drive us crazy every day. As you sit in your desk, you start coming up with plans of things that you'd rather be doing...things that are more productive than the task at hand. I start to plan things out so that things will go smoothly and I don't have to worry about not getting something done in time. Then I think about the weather, the conversations that I've had with other people previously in the day, and other things that are totally irrelevant. It's funny how the mind works...in mysterious ways, but we're somehow able to pull out of it and be "normal" for long enough until we're able to be set free.
