It is completely beyond me that people don't pay attention to anything they do. A good example would be walking out in front of a car, with a horse, to slow you down while you're driving. I'm not sure what goes through your head to think that that's the way to go. I'm pretty sure that there's a general rule that vehicles pretty much own the road...crosswalks are for people and fields are for animals such as horses and cattle, not streets; although there's a handful of people that somehow seem to get this messed up. Maybe following the rules is difficult, but when it comes down to safety and common sense, I choose both in favor of life.
