After a very long 14 hour flight, we finally arrived in Sydney. The hotel we're staying in is nice, it's right above a Chinese restaurant, so it smells SO GOOD! After we dropped our stuff at the hotel, we went and got some breakfast, then went to go explore Darling Harbour. For the photography group, we had to take pictures that showed something Australian, something humorous and something different. There was a band, about high school level, that was playing music. They were really good and nice to listen to. We were all really tired from the flight and took some "jet-lagged" pictures. Later that afternoon, we grabbed our warmer clothes and headed back to the Harbour for a sunset cruise. It was so beautiful! After that, we got some Chinese food for dinner that was delicious.
DAY 2
We woke up early and got some good breakfast. We split up into our On Assignment groups and went to work. The Photography group went to the Central Train station and took lots of pictures. We ate lunch at Burgerlicious. After lunch, we met up with the rest of the group and headed back to the train station. We got on a train and headed to the Sydney Olympic Park to watch the Rabbitohs verse the Panthers in a rugby game. It was so much fun! For dinner we went to a delicious pizza place.
DAY 3
After breakfast, we headed out to the bus stop and got on the 555 bus. We headed down to the wharf and got on a ferry that took us across the harbor to the Taronga Zoo. It was so pretty! I really liked seeing the Tasmanian Devils - they were so cute. We couldn't see the platypus, which made me sad though. Then we got to go to the gift shop! Can't forget the fuzzy souvenirs for my awesome friends at home! After the ferry ride back to the wharf, we walked around the base of the Opera House for a little bit. Then we realized that the bus services were done and had to walk the, what seemed like, 5 miles back to the hotel!!! I was so exhausted. Then we talked about going to the Outback. We're so scared that we're going to freeze to death, but I'm sure that it'll be fun.
For some reason, it won't let me post photos...I apologize. :( But as soon as I get a stronger Internet connection, I will post lots and lots!!! I promise!
