23 November 2012
How long is a moment? Tell me it's true,
We continually argue that the sky isn't blue.
I can barely remember the things you hold dear,
Flashbacks are constant - I think out of fear.
When will I see you again? It's been so long,
Every single feeling hidden within the line of a song.
Darling Harbour Bridge at Sunset - Sydney, Australia, NSW
Five seconds is too short to spend all my time,
The pain and confusion still forcing me to rhyme.
As it rains, it pours - filling the half-empty cup,
The flame of hope extinguished...finally giving up.
What does it mean to you? My never ending love,
You let it fly away like the peaceful, quiet dove.
A minute or two would be about enough,
To get through our feelings - however tough.
Tomorrow I'll wake up feeling less than before,
Always hoping that there will be a knock at my door.
How easy we forget what we mean to each other,
Chance after chance, giving hope to another.
Please tell me something and let it have a reason,
We fall in and out - just like the seasons.
I hope someday you can see what you've done,
This uphill battle that you've finally won.
For time has run out and I'm at a loss for words,
Turns out I was right...it fled as fast as the birds.
