1 September 2011
Remember the days when (or maybe you still have these days) you would go to the playground and sit on the swings and dangle your feet in the mixture of mud/dirt and wood-chips? I love those times.
It's funny how kids are entertained so easily at the playground. Something as simple as spinning around endlessly on the merry-go-round can last for a while and make kids laugh for even longer. I never understand how kids can have so much energy and crawl through tunnels, take the skinned knees, and go down slides hour after hour and not get tired until they get to the car.
What I liked most about going to the playground was always getting someone to push me really high on the swings and spin me around really fast on the merry-go-round. I remember my grandparents would take me to the park when I would come to visit. It was always such a fun time, and I never wanted to leave. The slides were swirly and big! The swings didn't squeak when you went really high, and they had my favorite...the merry-go-round.
I wish I could be able to go to a playground and have a  fun time again while not getting stared at...just because I'm a senior doesn't mean that I can't still fit on the slide!
