American football is the main sport during fall pretty much anywhere in the United States. I always remember watching the games on TV or going to the games with my grandparents and parents.
What are the best moments of Nebraska football? I think that they would have to be: 1) The fly-over after the playing/singing of the National Anthem. 2) The tunnel walk, and 3) The first touch-down of the game...when the crowd erupts with applause and cheering while about 1 million red and black balloons are released into the sky. I tell you, there's nothing like it.
As we approach the 11th of September, a monumental day in America's history, it's nice to know that those who fought and lost loved ones are not forgotten. Moments of silence and a simple wave of the American flag are such great ways to honor those who serve our country and remember those lost. Be sure to take a moment tomorrow or maybe even in the last few minutes of today to stop and think about who you're thankful for that's helping to serve our country and to fight for your freedom.
