Everyday people tell you to be different than everyone else and to make yourself memorable. Maybe it's just a high school thing in order to get into college and stand out, or maybe it's this way out in the real world too. Either way, I think that being different is good.
Those days that you want to be mismatched...go right ahead. I like trying to find things that are on the edge of actually coordinating sometimes. It's more fun that way. You get people to ask what the occasion is and you can say "just because I felt like being a little crazy today." Something else fun to do is to just pour everything into something and go all out. Sporting events and parties are more fun if you come ready for the occasion and ready to make some noise, and be outgoing. Where is the fun in not screaming your heart out for your favorite player on the team, or dancing and singing along to your favorite song?
Even though not everyone may have the confidence to be crazy everyday, I think it's the few people that are willing to always try new things that end up inspiring others to do so too.
"You may laugh because I'm different, but I laugh because you're all the same."
