If a picture's worth a thousand words, are reflections then worth double? Do you watch the water drops race down the windowpanes?
I think that it's days like these, that you want to stay inside with the heat on and a nice cup of tea or coffee, whichever suits you best. Curl up on the couch and read a good book with your favorite blanket, or watch the football games on TV.
I like being able to finally walk outside and not get attacked by grasshoppers and other annoying bugs. The air is so light and easy to breathe. Lately it's been perfect sweatshirt weather...just right to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful afternoon without being suffocated from the humidity and the hot sun.
Maybe it's the way that the water catches on a cob-web, or the way it magnifies all of the small, bright colors outside; but I really enjoy rainstorms. From the thundering beginnings, to the rainbow at the end, it's something to treasure. Each storm is so different from the next in so many ways. Each raindrop is a different size.
Sometimes, I like just walking around while it's pouring down rain. Even though you get all soaked, it's still so much fun. It's just water...you'll dry off, not many other people are out, so I don't think it matters what you look like either. I go for the sounds, smells, and sights.
And at the end, when it's all quiet and glistening, I like to look at my reflection in the puddles left on the ground and just smile.
