Acceptance. That word in itself should bring a smile to anyone's face. Whether it's a place to stay the night, somewhere to call home, a group of people to fit in with, or a new school, being accepted is highly important.
Today when I got my acceptance letter to college, I couldn't have been any happier. The long wait of not knowing whether I would be wanted at a school seemed to be forever, even though it was only about 3 weeks. The most special thing about fitting in, I think, is that you can find people and other things that you can connect with and share experiences with too. I think that's what gets people most excited about being accepted into anything. They feel that they can be a part of something better, something that is important...they are no longer left out of the loop.
Being accepted can be interpreted in many different ways too, I believe. Some people don't make a big ordeal out of it, while others run throughout the school on the verge of tears shouting about their success (........like me). Whether you do either of these, being accepted to anything or being accepted by anyone is very important. One of life's gifts that brings joy and motivation.
