20 and 21 October 2011
To make up for missing writing last night, I'm including some pretty photos that are definitely worth the wait. Not to write down all of my excuses, but after driving all day and getting to the hotel at midnight...with no easy internet connection, I wasn't awake enough to write something that would be worth your time to read.
Waiting for things in this world is always hard I think. Whether you're blessed with being patient or not, we are all impatient to some extent. Most of the time we probably find ourselves waiting for other people to show up or waiting for the traffic to move along. Other times, it's waiting for a special occasion or something good to come along.
As for me, I can't wait for college. After my college visit today, I already want to move everything here..even though I don't start until next fall.
I often hear of the quote "Good things come to those who wait." Most of the time, I believe this to be true. This can go back to wishing for everything your whole life. If you wait for the good things in life, odds are that you will enjoy that something more than if you get it straight away.
I think what makes us most impatient in life, is not knowing things. Being human, we would like to be able to know what all is going on so that we feel totally comfortable. I know that I like to be aware of what's going on around me, it makes me feel safer. I occasionally like surprises, but usually I can't wait for a few days to find out something. You'd have to let me know a few hours or a few minutes before the surprise is revealed or the suspense would drive me crazy. I applaud those people who are able to know about a surprise, then wait patiently for it. Most people that I know will lose their minds not knowing everything about everything and everyone around them.
Patience is truly a virtue...we should all learn to be a little more patient, even me.
