3 October 2011
Timing isn't always everything. So those of you that set your clocks fast, rush out the door with your pants on backwards and your shirt inside out, and those of you that are always rushing around everywhere...breathe for a second. Air is free! Get as much as you can.
Yes, being punctual is great. Getting to places in a decent amount of time and in one piece is always beneficial. I don't think that running out the door with clothing on inside out and backwards, forgetting important things, and looking...not your best is always the most ideal thing to do.
This morning not only did I forget to pack myself a nutritious and delicious lunch, but the thought of bringing socks to wear at the cross country meet after school slipped my mind as well. When that sort of stuff happens, nothing great ever really comes out of it. Subway was closed when I went to go pick up what I thought would be a great lunch. Maybe I just need to plan better?
Either way, whether you set your clock 7 minutes fast, like my mom...or 3 minutes behind, like me, I think that it's all what you're used to working with and what you're able to handle. Always dish out what you're prepared to take in and even if something goes awry, be looking upward to something that will make the situation better.
