17 December 2011
The light at the end of the tunnel is always there to be seen, but it's like trying to catch the rainbow...we never can quite get there. As well as trying to reach perfection, often not achievable, but we can come pretty close.
You always hear the saying "Practice makes perfect," but does it really? It seems that we spend a lot of time doing things that we love, always trying to get better so that we may be "perfect" at something. People say "it has to be perfect," but we all know that nothing ever goes as planned. The truth is, we will never always be able to color inside the lines, never be able to always make every 3 pointer we shoot in basketball, or even get all A's in school. Where would we be in life without a little trial and error?
We strive to reach perfection in our lives and always seem to fall a little short. I think that we do, in fact, sometimes achieve perfection...but only for a moment. Life isn't perfect and it's not always fair, so you have to take what you can while you can and learn how to make something out of what you're given that's perfect in your eyes.
