22 December 2011
Pretty please with a cherry on top? It's the good news in life that we are always looking forward to, but it's not always something that we get...so people will sugar coat it to sound like something better. Life is funny that way.
The good things in life are what we always want to be hearing, things that will lift us up and give us hope. Yet we listen to the news and the radio...hearing things that happen to other people. The car accidents, robberies, bad weather reports, stories about people who are sick or injured. Why? You would think that we wouldn't waste our time doing such things, yet we do.
I watch the news, but only for the weather or traffic reports in the morning; I listen to the radio, but only for the music. I would rather go through life listening to some good tunes, knowing a semi-correct weather forecast, and the best route to where I'm going rather than listening to the un-sugar coated facts of life and of the world. We all might be a lot happier if we pay less attention to the tragedies of the world and more towards the brighter side of life and learn how we can improve from the low points.
