Having your head in the clouds isn't always a bad thing. It's like an escape from everyday reality whenever we want.
I sometimes just space off during the day. It's like a mini-nap when I really need one, and it allows me to think about the things that get put on hold in my mind. Teachers and parents will tell you that it's no good to space off and that you need to be focused, but what if those few seconds help you to regain not only your focus, but also your sanity?
When you get a few moments, what is it that you think about? Is it a memory of an amazing time that you wish to relive, something that happened that made you upset, or an upcoming decision? What do you do during these moments? It is just a matter or staring at the wall or at the back of someone's head? or do you prefer to watch the clouds outside morph into your favorite shapes?
When I ride in an airplane I always love getting the window seat because I can look out at all of the clouds and just think about things while listening to my favorite songs. It so relaxing, and is a nice break from the stresses of everyday life.
