29 February 2012
Today while I was looking through the many different posts that my friends had made on Facebook, I noticed how many of them were about the leap day. Nearly every single one of them was saying that because of the leap day, what you did wouldn't matter. I don't think that I buy that...what makes this day any different from the other 365 days of the year?
Maybe it's wishful thinking of all of my Facebook friends, thinking that you can have a day where you can do whatever you wish and have it "not count." Then it starts you thinking, what would you do on your invisible day? If I had a day to spend that wouldn't be counted on my life record, I think I  would spend it doing something extraordinary. Everyday is a gift, so why not take every single one of them and live them to their fullest? Extra days like today are nice, it's almost as if you're getting a second chance, or an extension to life...and who wouldn't love that? I'm sure that there are some people in this world that would be happy to spend the day doing nothing, or something completely pointless. What's the point of doing something memorable when the days is viewed as non-existent? No matter which view you side with, I don't think that anyone would be able to argue that it's a waste of a day. Even sitting around relaxing for 24 hours isn't completely pointless.
